Healthy Snacks!

We’ve had some of you coming to the studio asking us to put some recipes up for some healthy protein snacks! Here at Evolve Pilates, we want to help you to become the healthiest version of you, and nutrition is a huge part of that. There are so many recipes out there and everyone is raving about protein balls…. So what’s all the hype about?

Why Choose Protein Balls as a Snack?

If you’re trying to lose weight, protein keeps you full for longer, therefore making you less likely to binge on sweet things or other high calorie options

  • Protein balls are low in sugar, particularly if you make them yourself.
  • They release energy slowly, keeping blood sugar levels stable
  • They taste great as a snack, therefore helping you to resist cravings
  • The recipes below are easy to make, saving you time and money

Our Top Tips for Making the Balls

  • Make a batch on a Sunday evening- This will mean you have some for the week to bring with you to work or college to enjoy as a snack
  • Make 2-3 batches at a time, just pop the leftovers into the freezer and defrost as necessary
  • You can make substitutes for the protein powder and use rolled oats or any other type of protein powder you like- our recipes are a guideline
  • Make small portions, this will cut down on calories
